Tenant Incentive Program

Under the Tenant Incentive Program (TIP), Commercial tenants also qualify for electricity saving retrofit incentives.

The CDM Program now accepts applications from tenants under lease in a commercial/industrial property. All CDM Rules and protocols apply. The leased premises must be within the '416' telephone exchange area (or postal code starting with "M") greater than or equal to 25,000 square feet.

TIP will pay the tenant directly for electricity savings within their premises at a rate of $800 per kilowatt or $0.10 per kilowatt hour or $250 per cooling ton reduction for non-lighting related measures, and $400 per kilowatt or $0.05 per kilowatt hour for lighting related measures, up to a maximum of 40% of total eligible project costs.
